Did you know that there is an old Hawaiian superstition that if you were to sit in a chair that was just warmed by another person, you would soon argue with that person? I learned that as a young boy on Oahu, and to this day, I try not to sit in a chair with a warm seat. It’s silly, I know, but that is how enchanting the islands are.
This is why I am looking into Hawaiian real estate. My wife and I have been taking virtual tours and physical ones of Hawaii homes for sale on Oahu as much as we possibly can. I am reminded of childhood memories and exploring some of the most delightful experiences of the many things to do in Kailua, Hawaii. I know we will never lack an adventure or a peaceful place to relax and let the tensions of life ease away into the tropical breeze.

I spent a lot of time in Kailua as I grew up on Oahu. It is not as busy and urban as Honolulu was. The island is bigger than you may imagine. There are small towns all around the island that are the polar opposites of the city. Kailua is by far my favorite part of the island.
Some of my favorite things to do in Kailua, Hawaii are things I did as a child and some I’ve done on the trips my wife and I have taken to consider buying Hawaii homes for sale. Your health may improve when you move to Hawaii. The ocean, air, and the island’s temperate climate are relaxing and good for sinuses and arthritis. The lack of stress due to the incredible beauty and peacefulness is priceless. It is never really too hot and it is never cool enough to not be able to go to the beach or swim in a pool.
There are no hotels in Kailua, but there are a number of vacation rentals. You could rent a lavish luxury home on the beach. If you are more interested in a simple, peaceful condo or even a single room, there are many of those as well. Finding a place to lodge is not difficult despite the lack of hotels. To me it is the best place to find your vacation home.
Kailua Beach Park is a beauty. It has beautiful waters and a nice view. It is lined on one side by the Lanikai beach shoreline. There are several small islands close enough to canoe, kayak, boogie board, or even swim to if you are a good swimmer. You can surf, kayak, canoe, snorkel, kite-board, and there are several shorelines to explore above and below the waters. This beach and Lanikai beach are perfect for stretching out in a lounge chair or on a beach towel while enjoying the view. The vistas from this particular stretch of beach are breathtaking. The water is a beautiful cerulean blue. The waters make it a smart and safe place that inexperienced people can begin to learn how to kitesurf or windsurf.
Kailua Sailboards and Kayaks, Inc. is located at 130 Kailua Road, Kailua Hawaii 96734. It is my favorite place to rent kayaks, sail boards, surf boards, snorkeling equipment, bicycles, and a number of other activities. It is a good idea to hire one of their tour guides. You can even take an eco-tour if you like. The staff is friendly and helpful. Kailua is a great place to live. There are many pieces of Hawaii real estate that are very private. You will find yourself at home in a quiet, tourist free area that is not congested or crime ridden.
